A leading container shipping company, Yang Ming Marine Transport hauls big boxes full of freight from Taiwan to ports around the world. The company’s fleet of about 90 vessels is made up primarily of containerships but also includes bulk carriers; it has an overall capacity of more than 4 million deadweight tons (DWT). Destinations served by the company include both the west and east coasts of the US, Europe, and the Asia/Pacific region. Yang Marine operates container terminals in the US as well as in Taiwan, and it offers logistics services related to ground transportation of containers. Taiwan-based customers account for nearly all of the company’s sales.
