At VSP Vision, we put people’s wellbeing at the heart of everything we do. And we are grateful for members like you, who inspire us to fulfill our purpose of empowering human potential through sight. Our culture of care began nearly 70 years ago with our founders, including Dr. Marvin R. Poston, the first Black American to practice optometry on the West Coast. Following his example, VSP continues to lead with his core value of care to provide a more equitable future. To encapsulate our commitment to social responsibility, we launched our inaugural VSP Vision Impact Report. This report outlines our progress in three key areas: health equity, sustainability, and culture of belonging. Below are some of the highlights of what we have achieved together in partnership with VSP network eye doctors, community partners and employees. As a not-for-profit vision benefits company, we reinvest into the communities we serve to provide equitable access to vision care for everyone, aiding communities affected by disaster, and helping optometry students invest in their future careers.
