At VSP Vision our purpose is to empower human potential through sight. As the first and only national not-for-profit vision benefits company, this is what drives everything we do. For more than 65 years, VSP has been the leader in health-focused vision care. Every day, the people that power our complementary businesses (VSP®Vision Care, Marchon®Eyewear, Inc., Visionworks®, Eyefinity®, Eyeconic®, VSP Optics, and VSP Ventures) work together to create a world where everyone can bring their best vision to life. That means providing affordable access to eye care and eyewear for more than 80 million members through a network of more than 39,000 doctors. And it means expanding access to vision care to those disadvantaged by income, distance, or disaster. Through VSP Eyes of Hope®, more than 3.3 million people in need have received no-cost eye care and eyewear. ESG/Ethical Impact

At VSP Vision, we put people’s wellbeing at the heart of everything we do. And we are grateful for members like you, who inspire us to fulfill our purpose of empowering human potential through sight. Our culture of care began nearly 70 years ago with our founders, including Dr. Marvin R. Poston, the first Black American to practice optometry on the West Coast. Following his example, VSP continues to lead with his core value of care to provide a more equitable future. To encapsulate our commitment to social responsibility, we launched our inaugural VSP Vision Impact Report. This report outlines our progress in three key areas: health equity, sustainability, and culture of belonging. Below are some of the highlights of what we have achieved together in partnership with VSP network eye doctors, community partners and employees. As a not-for-profit vision benefits company, we reinvest into the communities we serve to provide equitable access to vision care for everyone, aiding communities affected by disaster, and helping optometry students invest in their future careers. To date, through VSP Vision™ Eyes of Hope®, we have helped more than 3.8 million people gain access to free vision care and have donated more than 2.2 million pairs of glasses to individuals in need. Additionally, more than $20 million has been invested in bringing relief to those impacted by disasters. To support the future of optometry, VSP has invested $383,930 in scholarships and grants to 195 students. Additionally, to help advance health equity in eye care, we partnered with Black EyeCare Perspectives, a non-profit dedicated to redefining the color of the eye care industry 1% at a time. In 2022, we visited three Historically Black College and Universities (HBCUs) and met with more than 300 students to spread awareness about optometric careers. Through this partnership, over the next three years, we’re also committed to providing $45,000 in scholarships to students to support increased representation in optometry. To reduce our impact on the planet through more sustainable products and operations, more than 25% of our featured frame brands are now made with sustainable materials like plant-based resin, upcycled plastic, and responsible acetate. We are also reducing waste by developing more sustainable packaging such as a fully sustainable e-commerce shipping box made from 100% recycled materials.
