At TierPoint, we are committed to sustainable business practices within our state-of-the-art data centers around the country. Our goal is to help power a green future through efficient and responsible energy consumption. TierPoint has taken a number of concrete steps toward minimizing our environmental impact. Among other things: We track power usage efficiency, or PUE, and carbon footprint for our data centers on a monthly basis and have achieved a 13% improvement in PUE over the last several years. To achieve gains in energy efficiency, we’ve focused on steps such as: Modifying operational controls to increase efficiency in our cooling systems; Replacing and retrofitting inefficient cooling and electrical systems; Using highly efficient electrical and mechanical equipment on all new builds and expansions. We also participate in demand response programs to support the utility grid during peak periods. Generators enrolled in demand response programs are retrofitted and upgraded to meet appropriate emissions standards.
