The history of the Marco Company began with two brothers, Darrell and David Cooper. The two shared a vision to build a company that would provide innovative merchandising solutions to the grocery industry. Together, with their wives and various family members, the Cooper brothers set out in 1984 to turn their dream into a reality. Within four years, the company had already outgrown their original 5,000 square foot building in Fort Worth, Texas. With a growing staff of thirty-three employees they found it necessary to double their manufacturing space to keep up with the demand for their growing product line. Little did they know that the company they had founded with only five simple plastic products they had marketed to grocery stores, would one day be transformed into a global company that would serve a variety of general retailers as well as grocers worldwide.
