When it comes to sustainability, Beck is an industry standout. Each Beck project embraces sustainable design practices by incorporating the greatest level of energy efficiency that the budget will allow. We call this approach responsible design. The practice is championed by the sustainability team but permeates all of our disciplines with more than 35%percent of our technical staff designated as LEED® Accredited Professionals. As a member of the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC), our firm has led some of the first and most extensive LEED projects in many categories including the Wayne N. Aspinall Federal Building and U.S. Courthouse in Grand Junction, Co., designed as a site net-zero energy project that is also on the National Register of Historic Places.
