We always care about getting our Guests and Team Members to where they need to go, safely and reliably. The diversity we celebrate at Spirit makes us a stronger company. We celebrate everyone as they are, and we must continually hold ourselves accountable to ensure we’re truly an inclusive organization, creating advancement avenues for all. By fostering an inclusive Team Member population, we can engage diverse thoughts, approaches, and beliefs to achieve our goal of generating a work environment of mutual respect, belonging, and acceptance, where individual differences are celebrated — delivering greater results and a better Guest experience. In 2022, we realized stronger diverse representation across most workgroups in entry-level, mid-level, and early management positions. We also committed to increasing the number of underrepresented Team Members (ethnicity and gender) in Director and Executive leadership roles. We created positive change by expanding our recruiting pipeline, introducing diverse interview panel expectations, and designing programs to accelerate leadership pathways. Another important opportunity to create lasting equity within our hiring and promotion practices is ensuring that all Team Members have the platform and resources to succeed. 2022 was an important year for these efforts as we further empowered Team Members to lead. Through mentorship and pathway opportunities driven by fellow Team Members, our workforce created unbreakable bonds leading to more meaningful personal and professional growth. We’ve made great strides in how we celebrate the globe- spanning identities, traditions, and customs of our workforce. Although we celebrate all of our Team Members all year long, we’ve designated specific months to highlight specific groups (such as veterans, Hispanic, and the LGBTQIA+ community) and the value they bring to Spirit.
