Our purpose is to make people’s lives better by responsibly producing energy supplies, contributing to domestic energy security and prosperity, and having a positive impact in the communities where we live and work. Our long-term vision is to sustainably grow value for all of our stakeholders by maintaining and optimizing our high-quality asset portfolio, generating cash flows and maintaining a strong balance sheet. Our strategy is to be a premier operator of top-tier assets. Our operations prioritize safety and environmental stewardship; our corporate culture emphasizes integrity and encourages innovation; and the compensation of all employees is tied to environmental, social and governance (ESG) objectives. Zero routine flaring and non-routine flaring at 0.4% of total gas produced. SM Energy operations beat our 2023 objective one year early, and we expect to continue to meet our target of zero-routine flaring at all SM Energy operations and for non-routine flaring to be less than 1% in the years ahead. Flaring is down 83% from our 2019 base year, making this effort the largest contributor to reducing our GHG intensity! Methane intensity of 0.03 mT CH4/MBoe. Beating our target methane intensity of 0.04, we ranked #2 for lowest methane intensity among Permian Basin operators by Basinwide Independent Methane Emissions Insights. Methane intensity is down approximately one-third from an already low base year 2019. Scope 1 + 2 GHG emissions intensity of 8.23 mT CO2e/MBoe. This demonstrates substantial progress toward our longer-term target of a reduction of 50% by 2030. Scope 1 + 2 GHG emissions intensity is already down 41% from our base year of 2019. Top-quartile TRIR. Our total recordable incident rate for our employees and contract workers was 0.32, which is top quartile among our AXPC peers. Safety is truly a priority.
