Releases of greenhouse gases such as carbon dioxide, methane, nitrous oxide and fluorinated gases which trap energy within the earth’s atmosphere. Reductions are achieved through energy efficiency and switching to less carbon intensive energy sources. Integration and embedding of environmental and social considerations into procurement and supplier decision-making to drive supply chain ESG integration and to strengthen risk management and brand reputation. This can include choosing partners that protect human rights, human health and the environment and have social impact.
