Rainbow Babies & Children’s Foundation is the largest donor to UH Rainbow Babies & Children’s and has made tremendous contributions to fund and enhance quality health care for children in Northeast Ohio and beyond. Through our signature fundraising events, personal contributions, and community partnerships we have been able to donate over $160 million to UH Rainbow since 1999. The strength and legacy of our Trustees allows us to make transformational gifts that impact children and families for generations to come. Coming together from all walks of life with diverse backgrounds, our Trustees engage deeply with the hospital, our donors and our community stakeholders which powers us to fund major initiatives and capital projects such as the UH Rainbow Ahuja Center for Women & Children, the Angie Fowler Adolescent & Young Adult Cancer Institute, and the Zagara Pediatric Specialty Clinic. In addition, the Foundation has been a leader in our support of Family & Child Life Services, Healthcare Advocacy, sub-specialty fellowships and endowed chairs. Together, we put Children’s Health First. Since 2005, Rainbow Babies & Children’s Foundation annually allocates much needed funds to the Rainbow Office of Child Advocacy, with provides essential government and political advocacy protecting the healthcare and well-being of our most vulnerable children. The Rainbow Office of Child Advocacy works closely with the Rainbow Babies & Children’s Foundation educating Trustees on health policy impacting parents, children and their families, so we may work together in highlighting important health policy issues at the local, state, and federal levels. Trustees annually participate in advocacy events with government leaders at the federal and state levels so our voices can be heard.
