Environmental, social and governance (ESG) practices are core to who we are as a company and interwoven with our mission to improve the health of communities. Together with our values, ESG practices are the guideposts we use to ensure that our strategy to deliver long-term growth and value creation also results in a positive and sustainable global impact. Underscoring this point, in October 2021, Premier established a formal, Board-driven process for managing and reporting how we are incorporating and leveraging ESG practices across our business. In elevating ESG, or sustainability, to the highest levels of our company, we believe we are sending a clear message to our stakeholders about the importance of these practices. In 2022, we advanced our efforts further by undertaking a materiality assessment to better understand the ESG factors that our stakeholders believe are most relevant to our business success and value creation.
