The term “All American” includes Canada for Plains All American Pipeline, which has pipeline operations in the US and north of the border. The master limited partnership is engaged in the transportation, storage, terminalling and marketing of crude oil, refined products, and LPG, and owns extensive gathering, terminal, and storage facilities in California, Louisiana, Oklahoma, Texas, and in Alberta and Saskatchewan. In 2016 Plains All American Pipeline owns 19,000 miles of gathering and mainline crude oil pipelines throughout the US and Canada, operated a fleet of 1000 trucks, 10,000 rail cars, 142 barges, and 64 transport tugs, and owned storage capacity of 135 million barrels. On average, Plains handles over 4 million barrels per day of crude oil and NGL on their pipelines. Plains also owns and operates approximately 97 Bcf of natural gas storage.
