At PGW, we share a commitment to Philadelphia because it’s the city where we not only work, but also live. We value our customers and want to play an active role in enhancing the community we share. As Philadelphia works toward a greener tomorrow, PGW aims to play a key role in our city’s success. Our environmental commitment goes beyond providing our customers with sustainable natural gas — we also create community partnerships and initiatives that bring us closer to an eco-friendly future. PGW partners with the Philadelphia Phillies and the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society for our Home Runs for Trees program. Every time a Phillies player hits a home run, PGW and our partners pledge to plant a tree in a local park, urban setting or watershed area. PGW invests millions of dollars every year to maintain the city’s natural gas distribution system by replacing aging portions of our main and service lines, when necessary, with new state-of-the-art equipment.
