Emerging in 2012 from the Delta Petroleum restructuring, Par Pacific pivoted from an exploration and production company to one focused on refining, marketing and transporting fuels in logistically complex markets. Seeing a need for expertise in remote areas where fuel providers were limited, Par Pacific sought to supply these markets, bringing its knowhow and expertise.Par Pacific has grown into a Fortune 1000 company. Beginning in 2013 with the acquisition of a refinery in Kapolei, Hawaii, Par Pacific began building an integrated energy network in Hawaii. Through advantageous acquisitions and other growth opportunities, we have become the market leader in Hawaii, where we are better known as Hele, Nom Nom and 76-Hawaii. [In total, we have 148,000-bpd of combined refining capacity, 91 retail locations and a logistics system supplying all of the major islands in the state]. Par Pacific’s growth-oriented mindset has also led to its expansion into the Pacific Northwest and the Rockies. Through its acquisition of U.S Oil & Refining Co. in 2018 and various retail acquisitions, among others, Par Pacific now owns and operates [60,000-bpd of combined refining capacity, related multimodal logistics systems and 33 retail locations]. You can see us more visibly in select Zip Trip locations in Washington State and Idaho. Additionally, Par Pacific owns 46% of Laramie Energy, LLC, a natural gas production company with operations and assets concentrated in Western Colorado.
