Munson Healthcare is a not-for-profit health care system serving some 25 counties in northern Michigan. Its flagship facility is Munson Medical Center, a regional referral hospital with about 390 beds and offers specialty services including cancer treatment, behavioral health, cardiac care, and orthopedics. Munson Healthcare also has management agreements and other types of affiliations with about a dozen other hospitals in the region. In addition, Munson Healthcare operates urgent care and community clinics, home health care and hospice agencies, an ambulance service, and the Northern Michigan Supply Alliance, a supply chain management group co-owned with Trinity Health. Munson Healthcare was founded in 1915.
