Mary Free Bed, based in Grand Rapids, Michigan, is the largest non-profit rehabilitation system in the country. Since 1891, Mary Free Bed experts have restored hope and freedom through rehabilitation for children and adults with brain injuries, strokes, spinal cord injuries, multiple traumas, amputations, cancer and other diagnoses, including COVID-19. The combination of more than 100 specialized medical and sports rehabilitation programs and an exclusive focus on rehabilitation enables our specialty physicians and staff to help patients achieve extraordinary clinical results. Established in 2011, the Mary Free Bed Rehabilitation Network extends rehabilitation expertise to more than three-dozen acute-care hospitals in Michigan, Illinois and Indiana. In 1891, a small group of women set out to help people who couldn’t afford health care. The Grand Rapids community came together in the name of all Marys.
