Marine Layer designs and manufactures its own line of casual apparel. We have 34 of our own stores (and counting) across the country and a thriving e-commerce and catalog business. Our success has been built on a small, hard-working team that has a lot of fun and passionately believes in what we are building. We’ve managed to transition from a start-up into a national brand by staying true to our roots and thoughtfully expanding the team with some incredibly talented (and fun) people who want to help us build something special.

We’re building a responsible and sustainable business that takes care of our community and our planet. 45% of our products are made with sustainable materials. 55% (or more) of our products will be made with sustainable materials. We’re committed to using responsibly sourced paper products wherever we can. We’ve replaced single-use plastic in our online orders with recyclable Vela bags. All of our catalogs and clothing tags are printed on FSC-certified paper. We use materials made from recycled, responsibly sourced, or renewable inputs whenever possible. We keep clothes out of landfills through our one-of-a-kind tee recycling program: Re-Spun. 100% of our product manufacturing partners use reputable third-party audits like WRAP, Intertec, SMETA, or BSCI. Our supply chain is how we make our clothes and get ’em to you. We only work with global vendors that align with our values. All of them have signed our code of ethics
