This company wants to wok and roll all night and stir fry every day. Leeann Chin operates more than 30 quick-casual Chinese food restaurants in the Minneapolis area under the names Leeann Chin and Chin’s Asia Fresh. The restaurants offer a variety of stir-fried combination plates, salads, noodles, and appetizers. It also operates to-go kiosks at a handful of Rainbow Foods grocery stores. Founder Leeann Chin, who wrote Betty Crocker’s Chinese Cookbook, opened her first restaurant in 1980. The company was acquired in 2007 by financier Lorne Goldberg through his Los Angeles-based Mandarin Holdings, which operates the Mandarin Express chain.

Leeann Chin has been very involved in giving back to the community for many years. As our primary source of philanthropy, we have partnered with several community-based food shelters and have donated meals to these local non-profit agencies in the local communities surrounding our 35-plus restaurants locations. To date, Leeann Chin, Inc. has proudly donated over three million meals to families in need and those less fortunate. We are honored to receive many requests from a variety of worthy organizations throughout the year, and only wish that we could accommodate every request. However, due to the significant volume of requests that we receive, we are not able to fulfill all requests.
