For the fifth consecutive year, Kohl’s was included in the Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI) North America, recognising the company’s commitment to sustainability and its performance in this area. Kohl’s achieved ENERGY STAR? certification for 54 of its buildings, showcasing its dedication to energy efficiency. The company recycled over 5 million pounds of plastic film, bags, and wrap, as well as more than 10 million pounds of hangers, contributing to waste reduction and environmental sustainability. According to Tom Kingsbury, the CEO of Kohl?s, as a prominent omnichannel retailer with a nationwide presence, it is our responsibility to be a responsible corporate citizen and create a positive impact in the communities they operate in. He expressed his enthusiasm for the future of Kohl?s in this realm and took the opportunity to express gratitude towards the dedicated and loyal team of associates across the country who continue to work towards the company’s goals, making Kohl?s, communities, and the planet better each day. Introduced Sonoma Community, a brand that focuses on creating collections that embrace diversity and promote unity. Demonstrated an increase of over 37% in spending with diverse suppliers and expanded the supplier count by 70%. Committed nearly $8 million to support various diverse communities, including Asian American and Native Hawaiian/Pacific Islander (AANHPI), Black, Indigenous and People of Color (BIPOC), LGBTQIA+, people with disabilities, veterans and active military members, and women. This brings Kohl’s closer to its goal of donating $20 million by 2025.
