Casual dining has been on Houlihan’s menu for more than 35 years. Houlihan’s Restaurants operates and franchises about 100 casual eateries in more than 15 states. Operating primarily under the Houlihan’s Restaurant & Bar name, the restaurants offer a variety of main dishes, including burgers, pasta, and steaks, as well as appetizers and salads. About 60 Houlihan’s locations are franchised. In addition to its flagship chain, the company operates a small number of other dining concepts, including Bristol Seafood Grill and J. Gilbert’s Wood-Fired Steaks. Restaurant firm Gilbert-Robinson opened the first Houlihan’s restaurant in 1972. A management group owns 51% of the company.
