Great Wolf Lodge engages with local and national non-profit organizations that align with our purpose of bringing joy to families. Being an active and involved member of the community is important to us. Over the years we’ve supported many non-profit organizations including Ronald McDonald House Charities, Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation, American Red Cross, Boys & Girls Club, and the Jack and Jill Foundation for Late Stage Cancer. We’ve identified two national non-profit organizations as our primary partners for 2020. As such, our philanthropic endeavors for 2020 will mostly support these two incredible organizations. Outside of these two organizations, we have a very limited number of room night donations that are earmarked specifically to support of local charitable organizations near our resorts. Great Wolf Lodge is committed to being a good steward for the environment. In 2007, the company launched a brand-wide initiative called Project Green Wolf with programs designed to reduce our environmental imprint through energy and resource conservation efforts. Programs include energy-efficient LED lighting, in-room water conservation, resort-wide recycling, and we recently announced the discontinuation of plastic straws at our resorts. Water conservation is not only a way to minimize our environmental impact, it’s also beneficial to our business. With our technologically advanced water filtration system, the water park utilizes about the same amount of water as one Olympic-sized pool. No water is wasted, and since the waterpark is indoors, we lose very little water to evaporation even in the most arid environments. The safety of our guests and pack members is always our number one priority at Great Wolf Lodge. Our company culture places safety above all. Renowned International Aquatic Safety and Risk Management Consulting firm, Ellis & Associates , consistently recognizes our resorts with top honors for water safety. We feature in-depth training programs for our many on-duty lifeguards and are widely recognized as a national leader in water safety. Our commitment to safety is found throughout our resorts, from the guest rooms to the attractions outside of the water park. Knowing dining can be a concern for families with food allergies, we set-up very stringent cross-contamination protocols in place and provide opportunities for guests to share dietary restrictions with our culinary team at the resorts in advance of their visit.
