The Franciscan Health Community Health team is a small core team led by Administrative Director Kate Hill-Johnson. This team works to ensure that Franciscan Health plays an active role in serving our communities. They engage staff and community partners throughout our service areas to further health-centered programs and initiatives. This team also manages data and reports about who we are serving and how much money and time are given back. The core focus for community health is centered around Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs). The goal is to spread awareness about ACEs and help combat the health effects influenced by ACEs. Provide education and awareness about childhood trauma and community resiliency. Develop coalitions and task groups to facilitate community partnerships. Offer a variety of opportunities for people to engage in healing strategies. Lead by doing. Continue to look for opportunities to serve the most vulnerable.
