Convenience is all in the family at this Indiana chain. Family Express operates about 50 convenience store/gasoline stations in north central and northwestern Indiana (split almost evenly between city and rural locations). The chain’s Cravin’s Market in-house foodservice features fresh sandwiches, fruits, vegetables, salads and a selection of floral items. Family Express also has launched its own proprietary brands, including Java Wave gourmet coffees, Squeeze Freeze carbonated beverages, natural spring water, and bread and milk products. In addition, Family Express operates a small fleet of delivery trucks that say “moo.” The company was founded in 1975.
