ESG/Ethical Impact

ECCO uses leather in most of its products. ECCO’s leather partner, KT Trading, is responsible for sourcing the raw material for leather – animal hides – which are by-products of the meat industry. KT Trading is also responsible for the conversion of hides to leather. ECCO and KT Trading have, for some years, pursued a policy of high animal welfare standards from its suppliers. KT Trading prefers to buy raw material from a select group of suppliers who all have demonstrated the highest level of animal welfare. This statement describes the steps taken by the ECCO Group to prevent human rights violations in ECCO’s business and supply chains. The statement responds to the UK Modern Slavery Act 2015, the California Transparency in Supply Chains Act, the Australian Modern Slavery Act 2018, and the Norwegian Transparency Act.
