The greatest impact we’ve made over the course of a year is creating spaces for our people to share their experiences and cultures, and to grow personally and professionally. I’ve heard from many people around the company that the work our communities do makes a difference in their comfort and confidence levels, as well as overall feelings of being seen, heard, celebrated, and respected. Celebrating different cultures, holidays, and people has brought a sense of pride for me as a DEIB leader. I am proud to uplift people who raised their hand to include their cultures in our spotlights, especially when no other company they’ve worked for has recognized them before. For example, April is Arab-American Heritage Month, and we are recognizing our Arab employees internally and on our social media. This brings so much joy to our people. The Belong communities are a trusted space for members and allies to get to know each other, discuss things like what to write in our performance reviews, and encourage each other to have difficult conversations.
