We believe that it is important to provide community assistance and be responsible corporate citizens. We have a social responsibility in the locations where we operate. Around the world, our employees take part in local events to support charities that provide services to those in need. Crane Cares is driven by our employees at a local level; Donations, participation, and active involvement in community projects and charities enable our employees to make a difference in the areas where they live. Coming together as a team can make a great difference in our communities, giving back by way of support and contribution is an important part of our corporate culture. In 2023, our global team will focus efforts on Food Insecurity. Since 2019 there has been a 10% increase in undernourishment, and over 800 million people are hungry worldwide. Factors that contribute are inequality, poverty, conflict, climate change, disasters, and one we are all so recently familiar with, pandemics. There are 14 million children malnourished, and 45% of child deaths result from hunger; 700 children die each day from dirty water and unhygienic living conditions.
