At a time of exploding network traffic and services, our greatest environmental impact is our technology innovation, allowing our customers to ‘do more with less’— less power, less space, and less cost. Through deliberate carbon reduction initiatives and a commitment to offset our residual operational emissions, we will be carbon neutral for our FY23 CDP reported emissions. In 2022, we plan to purchase renewable power for certain of our offices and labs in the U.S., U.K. and Australia and explore virtual power purchase agreements. We have set a corporate objective for 2022 to reduce business air travel emissions by 50% from our pre-Covid 2019 levels. A key element of our strategy is fostering a workplace environment where employees are empowered, feel included and have an opportunity to make a difference through their work. We promote an inclusive and diverse workplace, where all individuals are respected and feel they belong regardless of their age, race, national origin, gender, religion, disability, sexual orientation or gender identity. Our “people strategy” ensures that we attract and retain the talent necessary to execute on our business plans, and that we have programs, initiatives, rewards and recognition that support these goals.
