Chubu Electric Power is Japan’s third-largest electric utility, after Tokyo Electric and Kansai Electric, with about a 15% market share. The company serves central Japan’s Chubu region, which includes Nagoya, one of the country’s largest cities. With a generating capacity of more than 32,600 MW, the utility distributes power to a market of about 16 million people.
