The chain’s menu also includes chicken and fish sandwiches, a selection of side dishes, and, as the name suggests, pasta entrees. Brown’s Chicken operates primarily in the Chicago area where it also offers catering services. The chain, which at one time had 150 locations, was started out of a trailer by the late John Brown in 1949.Private investment group Pop-Grip LLC bought the company in 2010 after a bankruptcy auction.
