Big Sandy Superstore was founded in Ashland, Kentucky in 1953 by Robert VanHoose, Sr. Fresh out of the Air Force, Mr. VanHoose had a $1000 loan from his wife Lorna and opened his first store. With his faith in God as his foundation, Mr. VanHoose ran his business on a very basic principle; the golden rule, “do unto others as you would have them do unto you.” He believed in giving customers the best possible value for the money spent and if there was a problem, simply follow the golden rule. Mission: Big Sandy Superstore, a top 50 National Power Ranking Home Furnishings Retailer, is eagerly expanding. We are looking for individuals who have a will to win, enjoy assisting others in making their house a home, and go above and beyond to ensure our customers complete satisfaction.
