We’re proud to invest in a greener and more sustainable future. In partnership with our native city of Grand Rapids, we’re sponsoring the Friends of Grand Rapids Parks’ 2022 Mayor’s Greening Initiative. Together, we’ll work towards introducing 10,000 new trees throughout the city, with an aim of increasing our tree canopy coverage to 40%. Urban tree canopy offers shade during peak summer temperatures, filters air pollution, and creates an enjoyable outdoor atmosphere for all of us to enjoy. We’re looking forward to helping create a greener city with more public spaces fo community events. This year, Friends of Grand Rapids Parks aims to activate 76 city parks through clean-up projects, movies in the park, tree planting events, pop-up events, and more local activities. Our sponsorship for this year’s Greening Initiative will help make that goal a reality. As an entrepreneur-focused business, we’re big on reducing our carbon footprint by shopping local, too.
